The "Gaura" in Nitai-Gaura refers to Sri Krishna Chaitanya, and the "Nitai" in Nitai-Gaura to Prabhu Nityananda. The other three names refer to other expansions or avatars of Radha and Krishna. In the Hare Krishna mantra, the words "Krishna" and "Rama" refers to Lord Krishna, the source of all avatars (or incarnations), and the "Hare" refers to Srimati Radharani, His eternal consort. The first mantra (called the Pancha-Tattva mantra) is generally chanted about three times before chanting the Hare Krishna mantra when singing. When chanting on beads, it is chanted once at the start of each round of beads (108 beads)
