About this site

This site was originally developed between around 1996 and 2000 by Alan Lightfoot, a long-standing ex-resident of the area. It was then neglected, eventually completely disappearing. In 2010 it was resurrected on krishna-das.com by me, Arjuna Krishna-Das, another ex-resident, in part to promote my novel Angels Chic, which is largely based around Lark Lane. I am planning to preserve the content of this site as-is, as a record of the Lane from the 1990s and before, but improve the layout. In addition, if anyone has any pre-2000 photographs, documents or stories of lark Lane, please get in touch and I would be happy to add them.

In April 2004, a voluntary group of people under the auspices of SMLLCA (St Michaels & Lark Lane Community Association) launched a new site - larklane.com, partly based on this one, but more up-to-date. However, larklane.com  does not include much of the information available here.
